Education Policy

The Florida School of Holistic Health ("The School") is committed to providing high-quality education in holistic health practices. This Education Policy establishes that all workshops, classes, and certification programs offered by The School are for educational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

This policy applies to all workshops, classes, certification programs, and community events hosted by The School. Any advice, information, or demonstrations provided by instructors, staff, or representatives of The School.

Policy Statement

  • Educational Purpose Only: The information and materials provided by The School, its employees, and representatives are intended solely for educational purposes. The School does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any illness, disease, or health condition.
  • No Medical Advice: Participants are advised that the information provided during workshops, classes, or certification programs should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed healthcare provider.
  • Participant Responsibility: All actions or decisions taken based on the education provided by The School are the sole responsibility of the participant. Participants are encouraged to consult with a licensed healthcare provider before making changes to their health or wellness practices.

Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement

Participants agree to hold harmless and indemnify The School, its employees, instructors, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or losses arising from:

  • The use or misuse of information provided during workshops, classes, or certification programs.
  • Any actions or inactions taken by participants based on the education provided.
  • The failure to seek professional medical advice for health-related concerns.

Acknowledgment and Consent

All participants must acknowledge and agree to the following terms before engaging in any activities provided by The School:

  1. Consent: By purchasing and attending any Workshop, Class or Program, participants agree that they understand and agree to this Education Policy.
  2. Assumption of Risk: Participants assume full responsibility for any risks associated with applying the knowledge gained from The Schoolā€™s offerings.

Compliance with Florida Law

This policy is consistent with the laws of the State of Florida, including:

  • Florida Statutes Chapter 456.41: Complementary or Alternative Health Care Act.
  • Florida Statutes Chapter 768: Negligence.
  • All other relevant state and local regulations.

Policy Enforcement

  1. Employee Training: All employees, instructors, and representatives will receive training to ensure adherence to this policy and avoid making statements or claims that could be construed as medical advice.
  2. Participant Communication: This policy will be clearly communicated through participant materials, registration forms, and during the introduction of all workshops, classes, and programs.

Acknowledgment

By participating in any activity hosted by the Florida School of Holistic Health, participants affirm their understanding and agreement to the terms of this Education Policy.

Policy Review and Updates

This policy will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure ongoing compliance with Florida laws and to reflect the evolving scope of The Schoolā€™s offerings.
